Job summary

Pirate Ship is seeking a Paralegal to support the General Counsel with contract drafting/review, IP management, compliance, and governance in a fast-paced tech environment. This remote-first crew operates in a casual, creative atmosphere where ideas are welcome and collaboration is key.

You will assist in preparing legal documents, performing research, and coordinating with outside counsel while traveling domestically for meetings and maintaining organized records.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of paralegal experience, preferably in a technology company or law firm, with exposure to IP, contracts, and corporate law.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and revise contracts and other legal documents; maintain an organized document system.
• Conduct extensive legal research on regulatory compliance, IP, and commercial law.
• Assist in managing the company’s intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents.
• Assist in corporate governance matters and maintain corporate records.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with outside counsel and internal stakeholders.
• Travel domestically on periodic business meetings.
• Work from home and connect with the crew via chat, voice, and video.
