Job summary

Pirate Ship is seeking a Paralegal to join our remote-first crew. You will assist the General Counsel with contracts, IP matters, compliance, and governance, while supporting cross-functional teams.

Travel domestically will be required a few times per year, and you will collaborate via chat, voice, and video using company equipment. We value a combination of administrative and legal skills, familiarity with tech industry needs, and a collaborative, fun culture.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years paralegal experience in tech or law firm
• Strong legal research, drafting, and review skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
• Exposure to IP, contracts, and corporate law
• Willingness to travel domestically

Responsibilities

• Assist General Counsel with contracts, agreements, and other legal documents
• Perform legal research on regulatory compliance, IP, and commercial law
• Manage IP portfolio: trademarks, copyrights, patents; coordinate with counsel
• Support corporate governance: meetings, records, policies and training
• Provide general administrative support and cross-functional coordination
