Job summary

Pirate Ship is seeking a Paralegal to support the General Counsel in managing all legal matters for the tech company. The role covers contract drafting, IP management, compliance, and governance in a fast-paced remote-friendly environment.

The Paralegal will work from home, travel domestically as needed, and collaborate with outside counsel and internal teams to keep our legal operations shipshape.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of paralegal experience, preferably in a technology company or law firm.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in legal document drafting and review.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and legal research tools and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and revise contracts and other legal documents with organized file management.
• Conduct extensive legal research on regulatory compliance, IP, and commercial law.
• Assist in managing IP portfolio including trademarks, copyrights, patents.
• Assist in corporate governance matters and maintaining records.
• Provide general administrative support to the General Counsel and coordinate with outside counsel.
• Travel domestically for business meetings.
• Work from home and connect with the team via chat, voice, and video.
