Job summary

Pirate Ship is seeking a Paralegal to join our remote-first crew. You’ll assist the General Counsel with contracts, IP, compliance, and governance in a fast-paced tech environment. This role supports cross-functional teams and travels domestically for meetings. You’ll work from home with company equipment and collaborate across the crew.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of paralegal experience, preferably in a technology company or law firm.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in legal document drafting and review.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and legal research tools and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and revise contracts, agreements and other legal documents; maintain organized records.
• Conduct extensive legal research and monitor regulatory developments affecting the company.
• Assist in managing the company’s intellectual property portfolio (trademarks, copyrights, patents).
• Support corporate governance matters and maintain governance records and policies.
• Provide administrative support to General Counsel and coordinate cross-functionally with outside counsel.
• Travel domestically on periodic business meetings.
• Work from home and connect with the team via chat, voice, and video.
