Job summary

The Landline Company is seeking a Fleet Manager to lead the maintenance and fleet operations for a growing motorcoach network. You will own planning, budgeting, parts management, and vendor coordination to keep a safe, compliant and ready fleet across multiple locations.

In this role, you will build maintenance forecasts aligned to OEM intervals, manage budget variances with Finance, and serve as the primary liaison with OEMs and dispatch. Remote collaboration across North America is essential.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in transportation operations, logistics, aviation, fleet operations, or related consulting
• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
• Strong data and analytical skills (Excel required; SQL, Python, or BI tools a plus)
• Familiarity with Fleetio and/or Samsara
• Comfort using AI tools to move quickly across projects
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with frontline staff
• Ability to work remotely across locations/time zones
• Six Sigma certification (Green/Black Belt) is a nice-to-have

Responsibilities

• Own the maintenance function with plan, vendors and data to scale to 100-motorcoach fleet
• Build and maintain rolling maintenance forecast aligned to OEM intervals
• Maintain the maintenance budget with Finance and report variances
• Coordinate unscheduled and corrective maintenance without disrupting service operations
• Keep accurate service records in Fleetio and Samsara; elevate out-of-service conditions
• Manage parts procurement and validate pass-through costs with partners
• Flag recurring issues and end-of-life vehicles using maintenance data
• Represent Landline at external maintenance facilities and issue work orders
• Schedule all planned/unplanned work to keep buses on time
• Review and approve partner invoices and track technician usage
• Plan quarterly reviews with vendors
• Provide real-time fleet status to SOC and leadership
• Own Fleetio and Samsara access and IT interfaces
• Plan vehicle assignments and capacity risks for additions/retirements
• Maintain vehicle files (registration, insurance, inspections, warranties)
• Coordinate warranty claims with OEM reps and technician training
• Track TSBs, recalls and OEM reliability and procurement
• Provide maintenance windows notices and schedule trade-offs with SOC
• Ensure regulatory compliance and audit-ready records
