Job summary

The Landline Company is looking for a Fleet Manager to lead maintenance for its growing motorcoach fleet, ensuring safety, compliance, and on-time readiness across remote and regional operations.

You will build forecasts, manage budgets, coordinate with OEMs and vendors, and provide real-time fleet visibility to SOC and leadership. This role supports a scalable plan toward 100 coaches while collaborating across time zones.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years in transportation ops, logistics, or fleet operations.
• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or Supply Chain, or equivalent exp.
• Strong data and analytical skills; Excel required; BI tools a plus.
• Familiarity with Fleetio and Samsara systems.
• Comfort using AI tools to accelerate projects across locations.
• Excellent communication with frontline hourly staff.
• High-energy, self-directed, startup environment mindset.
• Ability to work remotely across multiple locations/time zones.

Responsibilities

• Own maintenance function with plan, vendors and data; scale to 100 motorcoaches.
• Build rolling maintenance forecast aligned to OEM intervals.
• Maintain maintenance budget with Finance and variance reporting.
• Coordinate unscheduled and corrective maintenance without service disruption.
• Keep service records in Fleetio and Samsara; track DVIR resolution.
• Manage parts and pass-through costs from maintenance partners.
• Flag recurring issues and aging vehicles; plan replacements as needed.
• Represent Landline at external facilities; issue work orders to resources.
• Schedule all planned/unplanned work; ensure timely bus positioning.
• Review partner invoices; flag discrepancies and track technician usage.
• Conduct quarterly reviews with maintenance vendors; report KPIs.
• Provide SOC with real-time fleet readiness; communicate constraints.
