Job summary

Vantor is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer to support the FALCON program. This role is remote within the continental United States and involves collaborating with software engineers, data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to build, enhance, and sustain data pipelines and applications for timely decision-making.

The role requires a US citizen with an active Top Secret/ CBP/DHS suitability and a BS in CS or related field, plus 4+ years of software development experience using Java, Rust,

Qualifications

• US citizen required.
• Active Top Secret security clearance/ CBP/DHS suitability or ability to obtain.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering or related field (4 additional years of experience may substitute).
• 4+ years professional software development experience.
• Strong typing languages such as Java or Rust.
• Scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript.
• Experience with agile software development practices and tools (Jira, Confluence, git).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to research, development, and sustainment of mission-focused software applications, backend services, APIs, data processing workflows, and analytics.
• Support data scientists and mission partners by creating/refining software applications and improving performance.
• Participate in code reviews and technical documentation in a remote-first, agile environment.
