Job summary

Vantor Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer to support the FALCON effort. This role can be performed remotely within the continental United States.

You will work with software engineers, data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to build and sustain mission-focused software, data pipelines, and analytics that enable timely, data-driven decisions. Required qualifications include U.S. citizenship, active Top Secret/CBP/DHS suitability, a CS-related degree, and 4+ years of experience

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with active Top Secret/CBP/DHS suitability.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering or related field; master’s may count as 2 years of experience.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with strongly-typed languages such as Java or Rust.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Familiarity with agile practices and tools (Jira, Confluence, Git).
• Willing to work remotely or at a Vantor facility; comfortable with video communication.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to research, development, and sustainment of mission-focused software applications, backend services, APIs, data processing workflows, and analytics.
• Support data scientists and mission partners by building and refining software applications, handling maintenance and performance improvements, and contributing to code reviews and documentation.
• Deliver reliable capabilities in an agile, remote-first environment.
