Vantor is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer to support the FALCON effort. This remote role within the continental United States focuses on building mission-focused software, data pipelines, and analytics to turn complex data into actionable insight.

You'll work closely with software engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders in an agile, remote-first team, contributing to code reviews, documentation, and reliable capabilities that support timely decision-making. Requires U.S.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Top Secret security clearance and/or CBP/DHS suitability required.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering or related field; 4 additional years of experience may substitute for a degree; master’s may count as 2 years.
• 4+ years professional programming/design/development experience.
• Proficiency in strongly-typed languages such as Java or Rust; scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript.
• Experience with agile practices and tools (Jira, Confluence, git).
• Willingness to work remotely or at a Vantor facility; comfortable with video communication.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to research, development, and sustainment of mission-focused software applications, backend services, APIs, data processing workflows, and analytics.
• Support data scientists and partners by refining software applications, maintaining existing apps, troubleshooting defects, and delivering reliable capabilities in an agile, remote-first environment.
