Duke Health’s Patient Revenue Management Organization is seeking a Medical Records Coder II for a fully remote role open to eligible states. You will code inpatient and outpatient records using ICD-10-CM and CPT-4, review DRG/APC assignments, and help ensure optimal reimbursement.

The role supports education and training for staff and physicians. Qualified candidates hold RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC or HCS-D certifications, with at least basic coding experience.

Competenze

• RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CPC/HCS-D certifications required or active.
• High school diploma required.
• RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CPC/HCS-D certification with relevant experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Review complex medical records and code diagnoses/procedures per ICD-10-CM/CPT coding conventions.
• Coordinate/review work of subordinate staff and assist with education programs.
• Abstract data for reimbursement and ensure accurate DRG/APC assignment.
• Educate physicians on coding practices and conventions and communicate with care teams.
