Duke Health is seeking a Medical Records Coder II for a 100% remote role supporting the Patient Revenue Management Organization. You will code medical records using ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 conventions, review and mentor staff, and ensure accurate reimbursement through proper DRG/APC assignment.

Qualifications include RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CPC/HCS-D certifications and a high school diploma; CCS/CPC/HCS-D may require prior coding experience. Equal opportunity employer.

Competenze

• Active RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CPC/HCS-D certification required.
• High school diploma required.
• CCS requires 1 year of coding experience.
• CPC or HCS-D requires 2 years of coding experience.

Mansioni

• Coordinate/review the work of subordinate employees and assist with training/education programs.
• Abstract information from medical records for appropriate reimbursement and DRG/APC assignment.
