Job summary

Duke University is seeking a Medical Records Coder II for the remote Patient Revenue Management Organization. You will code medical records using ICD-10-CM and CPT-4, ensure accurate diagnoses and procedures, and support optimal hospital and professional reimbursement.

Requires RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CPC certifications or equivalent, strong anatomy and terminology knowledge, and experience with coding software. This fully remote role offers a sign-on bonus and opportunities for continuing education

Qualifications

• RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CPC certifications preferred/required based on role.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 conventions.
• Familiarity with DRG/APC reimbursement guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Code medical records using ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 conventions.
• Coordinate and review work of subordinate staff; assist training.
• Ensure accurate DRG/APC assignment and optimal reimbursement.
