Duke Health is seeking a Medical Records Coder II to join the Patient Revenue Management Organization in a 100% remote role. You will code complex records with ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 conventions and help ensure accurate DRG/APC assignments for hospital and professional charges.

Certifications such as RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CPC/HCS-D are preferred, with strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and coding software.

Competenze

• RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CPC/HCS-D certifications or eligibility required.
• Strong understanding of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding conventions.
• Knowledge of DRG/APC reimbursement and hospital coding practices.
• Experience with coding software and medical record abstraction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and data entry skills.

Mansioni

• Code complex medical records using ICD-10-CM/CPT-4 conventions.
• Coordinate and review work of subordinate staff; assist training programs.
• Ensure accurate DRG/APC assignment for hospital and professional charges.
• Abstract data from records for reimbursement; audit quality and quantity.
