Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a healthcare revenue cycle environment with insurance billing and collections.
• Advanced knowledge of managed care, governmental and commercial carriers and reimbursement methods.
• Understanding of health insurance claim coding requirements and ability to communicate needs for amendments.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound and make outbound calls regarding insurance matters and document efforts in the collection system.
• Research and analyze accounts using records and data to resolve payment obstacles.
• Verify insurance benefits through various mediums and monitor claims for timely follow-up.
• Contact managed care and other carriers to affect payment and escalate issues as needed.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and relevant regulations while maintaining productivity.
• Respond to inquiries promptly and clarify issues to resolve consumer concerns.
