Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years in a healthcare revenue cycle environment with insurance billing and collections.
• Strong understanding of managed care, government and commercial carriers and reimbursement methods.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound calls regarding insurance matters and document all attempts in the collection system.
• Research and analyze accounts using records and historical data to resolve payment barriers.
• Verify insurance benefits through various sources and ensure current information on accounts.
• Maintain productivity standards and timely follow-up on assigned claims.
• Communicate with payors and providers to expedite payment and address issues.
