Job summary

BCA Financial Services, Inc. is hiring a remote Insurance Claim Collector to work with creditors and insurance carriers to determine the cause of denial or non-payment and to prepare and submit documentation needed to resolve the claim.

This full-time role requires a minimum of two years in a healthcare revenue cycle environment, strong communication skills, and HIPAA compliance to ensure timely resolution. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401k match, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in a healthcare revenue cycle environment with a concentration in insurance billing and collections.
• Advanced knowledge of the healthcare insurance environment including managed care and various carriers.
• Familiarity with insurance claim filing conventions and coding concepts.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound and make outbound calls regarding insurance matters and document all interactions on the system.
• Research and analyze accounts to resolve obstacles to payment.
• Verify insurance benefits and update accounts to reflect current information.
• Contact managed care and insurance carriers to effect payment on claims.
• Identify payor trends and escalate issues as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and adhere to regulations.
