Job summary

BCA Financial Services, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Claim Collector to join our remote team. You will work with insurance companies to determine denials or non-payments and initiate measures to resolve them, following claims to payment while adhering to company policies.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in healthcare revenue cycle, strong knowledge of payer types, and excellent communication skills. This full-time role offers benefits and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years working in a healthcare revenue cycle environment with a concentration in insurance billing and collections.
• Advanced knowledge of the healthcare insurance environment including managed care, governmental and commercial carriers.
• Understanding of the various codes used when filing health insurance claims and communicating need for amendment of codes to creditor clients.
• Effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Work-from-home readiness with a quiet private workspace and reliable internet.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound and make outbound calls regarding insurance matters and document attempts on the collection system.
• Research and analyze accounts by gathering records and reviewing historical data to resolve obstacles to payment.
• Verify insurance benefits via outbound calls and insurer websites to confirm coverage.
• Follow up to payment or exhaustion of recourse while maintaining records per policies.
• Engage with managed care, governmental and commercial carriers to affect payment on claims.
• Maintain productivity standards and ensure HIPAA compliance.
