Job summary

BCA Financial Services, Inc. is seeking an Insurance Claim Collector for a remote, full-time role to work with creditor clients on denials and non-payments, from home in the United States.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of healthcare revenue cycle experience, strong knowledge of insurance processes, and solid communication skills. You will verify benefits, research accounts, contact payors, and document activity in the collection system while adhering to HIPAA and regulatory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 2 years in a healthcare revenue cycle environment focusing on insurance billing and collections.
• Advanced knowledge of healthcare insurance environment including managed care, government, and commercial carriers.
• Familiarity with various insurance coding practices and ability to communicate need for amendments to creditor clients.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and basic anatomy; strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound/outbound calls regarding insurance matters and document attempts in the collection system.
• Research accounts by gathering records and analyzing data to resolve payment obstacles.
• Verify insurance benefits through various sources and confirm coverage.
• Review claims and follow productivity standards for timely follow-up and current information.
• Contact managed care and insurance carriers to affect payment on claims.
• Identify payor trends and escalate issues when needed.
• Answer consumer inquiries promptly and clarify issues to resolve concerns.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and adhere to all relevant regulations.
