Advocate Health is seeking an Educator/Trainer to support PB Coding and Coding Integrity teams. You will present education and training to coders and clinicians, using various delivery methods, to improve accuracy and compliance.

The role emphasizes adult learning principles, development of educational programs, and collaboration with Coding Leadership and IT to advance training initiatives while operating in a fully remote schedule.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in medical coding including physician revenue cycle.
• Certifications from AHIMA or AAPC are required or preferred.
• Advanced training in Medical Coding Specialist program.
• Expert ICD-10-CM CPT HCPCS knowledge.
• Experience teaching coding concepts to adults.

Responsibilities

• Lead coding education sessions for coders and clinicians, in-person or online.
• Develop and maintain coding education materials and presentations.
• Identify educational needs and coordinate training with leadership.
• Schedule and manage education programs using Learning platforms.
• Ensure learning objectives are defined and curricula updated.
