Job summary

Advocate Health seeks an experienced Educator/Trainer to support PB Coding and Coding Integrity teams. You will design and deliver education for coders and clinicians, in-person and online, and continually adapt programs to organizational needs.

The role emphasizes adult learning principles, strong presentation skills, and collaboration with IT, Revenue Cycle, and Compliance leadership. This full-time, fully remote position offers flexible scheduling and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Recent production coding and/or coding integrity experience preferred.
• Specialty coding experience in areas such as surgical, anesthesia, pain management, hepatology, nephrology, anticoagulation, radiation oncology, interventional radiology, dental coding, and other physician specialty areas preferred.
• Coding certifications from AHIMA or AAPC listed in certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver coding education and training to coders and clinicians, in person and virtually.
• Identify educational needs and develop training programs.
• Coordinate education schedules and manage learning resources.
• Create and maintain web-based coding education programs and assign lessons.
• Provide train-the-trainer sessions for Coding Supervisors and Leads.
