Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Educator/Trainer to support PB Coding and Coding Integrity teams in a fully remote, full-time role. You will deliver in-person and virtual coding education to coders and clinicians, identify learning needs, and develop engaging training programs aligned with organizational goals.

The ideal candidate has recent production coding experience and specialty coding knowledge across multiple domains.

Qualifications

• Educator/Trainer role supporting PB Coding and Coding Integrity teams.
• Recent production coding and/or coding integrity experience preferred.
• Specialty coding experience preferred, including surgical, anesthesia, pain management, hepatology, nephrology, anticoagulation, radiation oncology, interventional radiology, dental coding, and other physician specialty areas.

Responsibilities

• Presents coding and documentation education for initial training and continuing education to coders and clinicians.
• Identifies coding educational needs and develops programs with leadership input.
• Maintains education schedules and uses Learning Connection, ATMS, Skype or Teams to schedule presentations.
• Creates and maintains web-based coding education programs and tracks progress.
• Delivers train-the-trainer sessions for trainers presenting material.
