Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Educator/Trainer to support PB Coding and Coding Integrity teams. This full-time, fully remote role focuses on developing and delivering education programs, guidance, and materials to coders and clinicians across the organization.

You will collaborate with Coding Leadership and IT to create training content, track progress, and apply adult learning principles to improve coding accuracy and documentation quality.

Qualifications

• 5 years of medical coding experience in physician revenue cycle.
• Specialty coding experience in surgical/anesthesia and related areas.
• Excellent knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS coding guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Presents coding and documentation education for coders and clinicians, including in-person and virtual training.
• Identifies educational needs and coordinates training opportunities with coding leadership.
• Maintains education schedules and uses Learning Connection, ATMS, Skype or Teams to schedule sessions.
• Develops and maintains web-based coding education programs and tracks progress.
