Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Educator/Trainer to support PB Coding and Coding Integrity teams. The role focuses on developing and delivering coding education, creating materials, and aligning programs with adult learning principles.

This full-time, fully remote position offers a flexible schedule, collaboration with senior leaders, and ongoing opportunities to enhance educational programs for coders and clinicians nationwide.

Qualifications

• Recent production coding and/or coding integrity experience preferred.
• Specialty coding experience preferred, including surgical, anesthesia, pain management, hepatology, nephrology, anticoagulation, radiation oncology, interventional radiology, dental coding, and other physician specialty areas.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Coding Leadership, IT leadership, Org development and Revenue Cycle leadership.
• Present coding and documentation education for initial training and continuing education to coders and clinicians.
• Identify trends in coder educational needs and develop targeted education programs.
• Stay current with adult learning concepts and manage education schedules using Learning Connection, ATMS, Skype or Teams.
• Develop and maintain web-based coding education programs; assign lessons, track progress and evaluate effectiveness.
• Create educational content with clear objectives and support e-learning and other delivery modes.
• Provide train-the-trainer sessions for trainers and update materials as needed.
