Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Educator/Trainer to support PB Coding and Coding Integrity teams in a fully remote, full-time role. You will design and deliver educational programs for coders and clinicians, blending in-person and virtual sessions, while staying current with industry coding guidelines.

The position emphasizes adult learning principles, program development, and collaboration with leadership to meet educational goals across the organization.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
• Expert knowledge in adult learning concepts for planning and delivering education.
• Ability to present to groups and adapt to in-person and virtual training.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Coding Leadership and IT to deliver coding education.
• Develop and maintain coding education presentations, tools, and documents.
• Identify educational needs and tailor sessions for coders and clinicians.
• Schedule and deliver trainings using Learning Connection, ATMS, Skype or Teams.
• Create and maintain web-based coding education programs and track progress.
