Job summary
A growing medical communications agency is seeking an experienced Senior Medical Writer to join their expanding team. You will be responsible for writing and reviewing scientific publications, developing educational materials, and creating engaging digital content for medical audiences. The ideal candidate has over 10 years of experience in a medical communications setting, with a solid background in publications and medical affairs. This role is remote with a flexible hourly rate.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in a medical communications agency setting.
- Strong background in publications writing or medical affairs materials.
- Experience in oncology, immunology, and/or cardiovascular disease areas.
Responsibilities
- Write and review content for scientific publications.
- Develop medical education and multi-channel materials.
- Create digital content for medical audiences.
- Work directly with clients and internal stakeholders.
Skills
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Medical Writer to support a growing medical communications team across multiple therapy areas and channels. This role would suit someone with a strong background in Publications writing, Medical Affairs materials, multichannel content, or a combination of these, and who is confident working in a client‑facing environment.
- Writing and reviewing content for scientific publications (abstracts, posters, manuscripts)
- Developing medical education and multi‑channel materials (congress reports, symposia, training materials)
- Creating social media posts, banner ads, and digital content for medical audiences
- Working directly with clients and internal stakeholders
- 10+ years working in a medical communications agency setting
- Background in either publications writing, medical affairs materials or promotional
- Experience in oncology, immunology, and/or cardiovascular disease areas
- Ideally client facing
