Presbyterian Healthcare Services is hiring a Remote IP Facility CCS Coder to handle coding for inpatient and outpatient records, ED, Home Health & Hospice, and professional services using ICD-9/10 CM and CPT-4.

You will review full medical records, assign CPT/ICD/DRG codes, query when needed, and maintain accuracy above 95% while meeting productivity standards and continuing education.

This full-time remote position is based in New Mexico with competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must have a coding certification (HCS-D, CCS, CCS-P, CPC-H, CPC or RHIT/RHIA) or achieve one within 1 year.
• 1–3 years of coder experience required.
• Computer skills include Word, Excel, PowerPoint; encoder and EMR experience preferred; internet research emphases.

Responsabilités

• Reviews patients' entire medical record, assigning CPT, ICD and MS-DRG for reimbursement and research.
• Abstracts data for QI and Joint Commission.
• Uses multiple systems to complete coding in a timely manner and generates queries as needed.
• Resolves pre-bill edits, denials for assigned accounts.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of ICD-9/10 CM, CPT-4, HCPCS, DRG, APC, HHRG updates.
