Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Completion of a Coding Course
• One of the following core credentials: CPC, COC, CIC, RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC-A, CIC-A, or COC-A
• Preferred 1–2 years of related coding experience
• Expert knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD 10, PCS, and DRG classification systems

Responsabilités

• Assign ICD 10, CPT, HCPCS, PCS, and DRG codes to medical records with accuracy and compliance
• Maintain a quarterly quality score of 95% or greater adhering to coding ethics
• Interpret data from records and collaborate with clinical staff to ensure accurate coding
