Job summary

Pena4 is seeking an experienced Medical Coder (IP) to remotely code inpatient hospital services with accuracy and compliance. The role requires at least five years of IP-PCS coding experience and a CCS certification, plus familiarity with Cerner, PowerChart, and 3M systems.

You will review complete medical records, assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes, and ensure proper DRG, SOI, and ROM alignment. Immediate start. Remote work; per-case compensation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of inpatient facility coding experience (IP).
• CCS certification is required.
• Experience with ICD-10-CM/PCS coding for inpatient services.

Responsibilities

• Review inpatient medical records to assign principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures.
• Assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes and ensure correct sequencing.
• Support MS-DRG assignment, SOI, and ROM with appropriate documentation.
