Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a Remote IP Facility CCS Coder to join our team in New Mexico. You will code inpatient and/or outpatient hospital records, ED, Home Health & Hospice, and professional services for reimbursement, using ICD-9/10 CM and CPT-4 in compliance with federal regulations.

Responsibilities include reviewing the full medical record, assigning CPT/ICD codes and MS-DRG, abstracting data for quality improvement, and addressing pre-bill edits or denials while

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One of the following coding credentials by hire: HCS-D, CCS, CCS-P, CPC-H, CPC, or RHIT/RHIA with credential within 12 months.
• 1–3 years coding experience required.

Aufgaben

• Review patient records and assign CPT, ICD and MS-DRG for reimbursement.
• Abstract data for quality improvement and Joint Commission requirements.
• Research records across systems to complete coding timely and accurately.
• Resolve pre-bill edits and denials for assigned accounts.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ICD-9/10 CM, CPT-4, HCPCS, DRG, APC/HHRG updates.
