Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Mainframe Systems Programmer – CICS Remote to provide premium CICS-related software support for our mainframe clients. You will handle CSOs, troubleshoot CICS TS issues, and operate on a 24x7 schedule across time zones.

The role requires extensive z/OS/CICS TS experience, plus IBM SMP/E proficiency, and strong communication skills to collaborate with teams and customers. On-site/remote flexible work is supported within Ensono’s client framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years experience on the zSeries mainframe, with hands-on CICS TS and OEM product support.
• Strong knowledge of CICS TS capabilities and tailoring, plus OEM tooling experience.
• Extensive experience with IBM SMP/E and z/OS environments.
• Analytical thinker with solid understanding of CICS TS concepts and configurations.
• Experience using CICS TS performance monitoring tools.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and manage priorities.
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and handle high-pressure situations.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
• Team-oriented, capable of collaborating across groups or working solo.

Responsibilities

• Provide premium software support and services to Ensono mainframe clients related to CICS.
• Fulfill CSOs for mainframe z/OS customers in a timely manner for CICS TS and OEM products.
• Provide primary support for reported CICS TS related problems and issues.
• Offer 24 x 7 x 365 support across multiple time zones.
• Install, tailor and upgrade CICS TS and OEM products following Ensono best practices.
• Assist migration efforts for new customers and coordinate with project managers.
• Support disaster recovery planning in coordination with DR services.
• Follow ITSM change control procedures and document actions taken.
• Collaborate with other towers to prepare partitions for annual OS upgrades.
