Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Mainframe Systems Programmer to install, upgrade, test, configure, and implement ISV software on z/OS. You will monitor, support on-call activities, and collaborate with vendors and team members to resolve incidents.

The role requires strong knowledge of z/OS components, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL, USS, and security, with opportunities to contribute to technical projects and drive efficient mainframe operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of mainframe experience in a large enterprise.
• Bachelor's degree required and/or equivalent work experience.
• Strong knowledge of z/OS installation and maintenance including SMP/E.
• Proficient with TSO/ISPF, SDSF, and JCL.
• Unix System Services (USS) knowledge and security.
• Ability to perform skill set of a Mainframe System Programmer.
• Ability to perform moderately complex ISV installations.
• Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer Service skills at management level.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
• Planning and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, test, configure, and implement ISV software on z/OS.
• Provide on-call support and incident resolution.
• Monitor and evaluate new software for potential adoption.
• Assist team with technical questions and problem resolution.
• Configure parameters and coordinate with vendors.
• Participate in technical projects and z/OS related tasks.
• Support z/OS and related products including TSO/ISPF/SDSF/JCL.
• Communicate effectively with team and stakeholders.
