Prudential Financial is seeking a skilled Disability Claims Specialist to join the Long-Term Disability Core Team. This fully virtual role supports the Team Lead with technical guidance, coaching, and complex claim analysis, while ownership remains with the claim professional.

The position emphasizes policy interpretation, medical and vocational considerations, and trend analysis to maintain high-quality outcomes. Occasional on-site work may be required.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of long-term disability claim management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of long-term disability policy provisions, medical and vocational considerations.
• Strong communication, consultation, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Proven ability to independently analyze complex or high-risk claim scenarios and recommend sound strategies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical expert to Team Lead and claim professionals on complex management matters.
• Provide guidance on policy interpretation, medical and vocational considerations, and claim strategy.
• Coach claim professionals through complex scenarios and provide actionable feedback.
• Identify trends and opportunities for coaching, process improvement, or escalation.
• Monitor claim block health by analyzing inventory and performance indicators and advise priorities.
