Prudential Financial, Inc. of the United States is seeking an experienced Disability Claims Specialist to join the Long-Term Disability Core Team.

The role requires deep claim management knowledge and the ability to guide claim professionals while ensuring high quality outcomes. As a virtual position, you will provide technical guidance, coaching, and analyses, collaborate with the Team Lead, and maintain policy, medical, and vocational considerations to drive accurate, consistent, and timely

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of Long-Term Disability claim management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Long-Term Disability policy provisions, medical and vocational considerations, benefit calculations, Social Security benefits.
• Strong communication, consultation, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Proven ability to independently analyze complex or high-risk claim scenarios and recommend sound claim strategies.
• Demonstrated success coaching claim professionals and building technical capability and critical-thinking.
• Ability to interpret claim data, inventory indicators, and activity trends to identify emerging risks and improve claim quality.
• Ability to adapt technical support and coaching to changing team and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Long-Term Disability technical expert and trusted resource to the Team Lead and claim professionals on complex claim management matters.
• Provide technical guidance on policy interpretation, medical and vocational considerations, claim strategy, benefit eligibility, and next steps.
• Coach claim professionals through complex claim scenarios and reinforce best practices.
• Provide timely, actionable feedback to improve execution and decision quality.
• Analyze claim activity to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for targeted coaching and process improvement.
• Monitor claim block health by analyzing inventory and performance indicators and supporting corrective actions.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of technical training and knowledge sharing for claim professionals.
• Consult on high-risk or complex claims and recommend approaches aligned with policy provisions and procedures.
• Develop and maintain technical resources, procedures, and best-practice guidance for consistency.
• Support additional priorities as assigned by evolving team and business needs.
