Job summary

Prudential Financial is seeking an experienced Disability Claims Specialist to join the Long-Term Disability Core Team. The role acts as a technical expert, applying deep claim management knowledge to guide professionals, support the Team Lead, and promote high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Long-Term Disability claim management experience with complex claim evaluation.
• Advanced knowledge of Long-Term Disability policy provisions and benefit calculations.
• Ability to independently analyze complex or high-risk claim scenarios and recommend actions.
• Experience coaching claim professionals and providing actionable feedback.
• Ability to interpret claim data and inventory trends to improve claim quality and block health.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Long Term Disability technical expert to guide claim professionals on complex matters.
• Provide guidance on policy interpretation, medical and vocational considerations, and claim strategy.
• Coach professionals through complex scenarios and strengthen critical thinking.
• Provide timely feedback to improve execution and decision quality.
• Analyze claim activity to identify trends and opportunities for coaching or process improvement.
• Monitor and maintain claim block health with the Team Lead and support corrective actions.
• Support development and delivery of technical training for claim professionals.
• Consult on high-risk, escalated, or technically complex claims.
