You will act as a technical expert, guiding claim professionals, interpreting policy provisions, and supporting the Team Lead to maintain high-quality outcomes.

The role emphasizes coaching, complex claim analysis, and proactive risk identification. You’ll work with Microsoft Teams and Excel to analyze trends, provide feedback, and help drive training,

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Long-Term Disability claim management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of LTD policy provisions, medical and vocational considerations.
• Ability to independently analyze complex or high-risk claim scenarios.
• Proven coaching, feedback, and capability-building skills for claims staff.

Responsibilities

• Serve as LTD technical expert to Team Lead and claim professionals on complex matters.
• Provide guidance on policy interpretation, medical/vocational factors, and next steps.
• Coach professionals through complex scenarios to improve decision quality.
• Deliver timely feedback to build technical capability and execution.
• Analyze claim activity to identify trends, risks, and coaching needs.
• Monitor inventory and performance indicators to sustain block health.
• Assist in developing and delivering technical training for claims staff.
• Consult on high-risk or escalated claims with policy-aligned approaches.
• Support additional priorities as team needs evolve.
