Prudential Financial is seeking an experienced Disability Claims Specialist to join its Long-Term Disability Core Team. You will act as a technical expert guiding claim professionals, coaching on complex cases, and ensuring high-quality outcomes while maintaining ownership with the claim professional.

The role emphasizes technical guidance, training development, and collaboration with leadership to maintain claim block health and strong decision quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of Long-Term Disability claim management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Long-Term Disability policy provisions, medical and vocational considerations.
• Ability to independently analyze complex or high-risk claim scenarios and recommend sound strategies.
• Demonstrated success coaching claim professionals and providing actionable feedback.

Responsabilités

• Serve as a Long Term Disability technical expert for the Team Lead and claim professionals on complex matters.
• Provide guidance on policy interpretation, medical and vocational considerations, claim strategy and benefit eligibility.
• Coach claim professionals through complex scenarios to strengthen critical thinking and consistent practices.
• Provide timely feedback to improve execution and claim decisions.
• Analyze claim activity to identify trends, risks, and coaching opportunities.
• Monitor claim block health with the Team Lead and support corrective actions.
• Contribute to technical training and knowledge sharing for claim professionals.
• Consult on high-risk or escalated claims with policy-aligned approaches.
