Job summary

WSP is seeking a Lifecycle Project Manager- Power & Energy (Remote) to lead multiple transmission line and substation projects across the US. The role focuses on CPM scheduling, risk and cost control, and strong client leadership within a dynamic utility environment.

The successful candidate will oversee project governance, performance metrics, and executive reporting, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while developing long-term client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or related field; possible experience in Power & Energy.
• 10+ years of post-education experience with PM responsibility in Power Delivery/ transmission/substation.
• Experience managing medium to large transmission line and/or substation projects for electric utilities.
• Ability to lead multiple concurrent projects with accountability for scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, risk, and client satisfaction.
• Advanced understanding of utility project delivery including engineering, permitting, environmental coordination, construction readiness, outage coordination, commissioning, closeout.
• Strong project controls knowledge including CPM scheduling, cost forecasting, earned value, change management, risk management, invoice review, and financial tracking.
• Experience developing governance tools and project documentation (execution plans, risk registers, logs, QA/QC records).
• Experience managing senior client relationships and guiding project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout of multiple transmission line and substation projects.
• Provide senior PM oversight for scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, risk, procurement, and commissioning.
• Serve as primary accountability for project delivery, escalate risks, and align with client requirements and WSP standards.
• Develop and communicate integrated project schedules, cost forecasts, performance metrics, and executive reporting.
• Manage project financials including budgeting, forecasting, earned value, change control, and margin protection.
• Lead client engagement and relationship development through proactive communication and delivery quality.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams across engineering, controls, procurement, construction, environment, permitting, and vendors.
• Establish governance: risk registers, logs, action tracking, change logs, QA/QC, audit-ready files.
• Provide direction, staffing, QA/QC expectations, and mentorship to project teams.
