Job summary

WSP is seeking a Lifecycle Project Manager- Power & Energy (Remote) for our Power & Energy Program Management Team. The successful candidate will manage multiple transmission line and substation projects across the US, focusing on scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related field within the Power & Energy market.
  • 10+ years of relevant post-education experience with project management responsibility in Power Delivery or related infrastructure.
  • Experience managing medium to large transmission line and/or substation projects for electric utility clients.
  • Ability to lead multiple concurrent projects with accountability for scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
  • Advanced understanding of utility project delivery including engineering, procurement, permitting, environmental coordination, and commissioning.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout of multiple transmission line and substation projects.
  • Provide senior-level project management oversight for scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, risk, and procurement activities.
  • Serve as the primary accountability for project delivery, align with client expectations and standards.
  • Develop and communicate integrated project schedules, cost forecasts, performance metrics, and executive reports.
  • Manage project financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, EV, change management, and invoicing.
  • Lead client engagement and relationship development through proactive communication and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including engineering, controls, procurement, construction, environmental, and stakeholders.
  • Establish governance practices with risk registers, logs, change control, QA/QC, and audit-ready docs.
  • Guide resource planning, staffing, QA/QC expectations to ensure timely deliverables.
  • Mentor project managers and teams, reinforcing accountability and consistency.
  • Exercise ethical judgment on funds, commitments, and conduct per policy.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
