Job summary

WSP is seeking a Lifecycle Project Manager for Power & Energy in San Francisco, with remote options across the United States. The role oversees transmission, substations, and communications projects, focusing on SCADA and telecom, and requires travel to client sites for meetings.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and deliverables through all project phases, from proposal to closeout, ensuring adherence to corporate standards and client

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related field within Power & Energy; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 10+ years of relevant post-education experience with significant PM responsibility in Power Delivery, transmission, substation, or related infra.
• Experience managing medium to large transmission line and/or substation projects for electric utility clients.
• Ability to lead multiple concurrent projects with accountability for scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, risk, client satisfaction, and delivery.
• Advanced understanding of utility project delivery, including engineering, procurement, permitting, environmental coordination, construction readiness, outage coordination, commissioning, closeout, and client reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout of multiple transmission line and substation projects of significant size and strategic importance.
• Provide senior PM oversight for scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, risk, procurement, construction readiness, commissioning, and closeout.
• Serve as primary point of accountability for project delivery, coordinating with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Develop and communicate integrated project schedules, cost forecasts, and performance metrics for executive visibility.
• Manage project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, earned value, change management, and margin protection.
• Lead client engagement and relationship development through proactive communication and issue resolution.
