Job summary

The Wood Agency Life is seeking a 100% remote, 1099 life insurance sales representative to connect with families requesting coverage information—from initial contact to completed applications.

You will work as an independent contractor with exclusive lead systems, schedule longer conversations, and close cases during the appointment using web-based quoting tools and a CRM. Licensing timelines vary by state.

Qualifications

• Experience selling by phone in inside sales, telesales, or call center environments.
• Comfortable with long conversations about serious topics, not quick transactions.
• Consistent follow-up without prompts from others.
• State life insurance license, or plan to obtain license before first sale.
• Familiar with web-based quoting tools and a CRM.
• Age 18+ and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Make first contact with people who asked about coverage and schedule a longer conversation.
• Open with questions instead of a pitch, so the family does most of the talking.
• Present options by phone or video and complete the application in the same appointment.
• Keep several open cases moving without losing track of any of them.
• Log every call and follow-up task in the CRM as it happens.
• Use team call reviews to sharpen your approach over time.
