Job summary

The Wood Agency Life is hiring for a 100% remote life insurance sales role paid as an independent contractor (1099). You will connect with families who requested coverage, guide conversations, and close applications in the same session.

Ideal candidates will have prior phone-based sales experience, comfort with long discussions about coverage, and a plan to obtain or hold a state life license. You’ll work with exclusive leads and receive mentorship from agency leaders.

Qualifications

• A state life insurance license is required or a plan to obtain licensure before first sale.
• Excellent phone-based selling skills and ability to handle long conversations.
• Comfortable with an independent-contractor arrangement and 1099 structure.

Responsibilities

• Make first contact with people who asked about coverage and schedule a longer conversation.
• Open with questions instead of a pitch, letting the family do most of the talking.
• Present options by phone or video and complete the application in the same appointment.
• Log every call and follow-up task in the CRM as it happens.
• Use team call reviews to sharpen your approach over time.
