Job summary

SES Constructors LLC is expanding its civil construction team and seeks a Lead Estimator to prepare detailed self-perform heavy civil estimates based on plans and specifications. The role emphasizes collaboration with project teams, risk assessment, and timely bid submissions.

Ideal candidate has strong experience with civil infrastructure estimation, subcontractor sourcing, and CPM scheduling tools, and will operate in a remote capacity with some travel to align with project needs.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering is required.
• Field experience in self-perform contracting of civil infrastructure scopes such as earthwork, utilities, dewatering, road/pavement work.
• Federal projects estimating experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, specs, and schedules; experience with CPM scheduling and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Produce self-perform heavy civil cost estimates including crew assemblies and production rates for large civil projects.
• Provide quantity takeoff information to detail materials and costs.
• Source and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes for best-value bids.
• Identify risks and develop plans to address them.
• Collaborate with field and office teams during the estimate prep.
• Meet milestones for interim reviews and bid submission deadlines.
• Vet subcontractor pricing and coordinate with project team and buyers.
