Job summary

SES Constructors LLC is expanding its civil construction team and seeks a Lead Estimator to prepare detailed estimates from plans, specs and scopes of work. The role supports self-perform civil work, collaborates with field and office teammates, and focuses on heavy civil cost estimation with value-driven subcontractor pricing.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering, plus field self-perform experience and CPM scheduling knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering required.
• Field experience in self-perform civil infrastructure contracting (earthwork, utilities, dewatering, roads).
• Experience estimating federal projects preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, specs, and schedules; CPM scheduling experience.

Responsibilities

• Produce self-perform heavy civil cost estimates with crew assemblies and rates.
• Provide detailed quantity takeoffs and material lists for cost assessments.
• Source and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes for best value.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans with project team.
• Coordinate with field and office teams to prepare each estimate.
• Meet milestone reviews to ensure on-time submission; calibrate as needed.
• Vet subcontractor pricing and support post-award site conditions.
