Job summary

SES Constructors LLC is seeking a Lead Estimator to join our growing Civil Construction team. This remote position requires EST/CST alignment and may include travel.

Responsibilities include producing self-perform heavy civil estimates, quantity takeoffs, and supplier vetting to ensure comprehensive scopes and value. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering, field self-perform experience, and proficiency with Bid2Win and HCSS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering.
• Field experience in self-perform contracting of civil infrastructure scopes (earthwork, utilities, dewatering, road work).
• Experience estimating federal projects preferred.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract docs, drawings, specs, and schedules; proficient in CPM scheduling and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Produce self-perform heavy civil cost estimates including crew assemblies and production rates based on project size, scope, and mix.
• Furnish accurate quantity takeoff information and create detailed material lists and cost estimates.
• Identify, source and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes for best value.
• Identify, quantify, and evaluate risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with field and office teams to prepare each estimate.
• Meet interim milestones for constructability and productivity reviews to meet submission deadlines.
• Support constructability reviews and vet subcontractor pricing for comprehensive scope coverage.
• Interact with Operations post-award to discuss alternates, bid-day assessments, and site conditions.
