Job summary

SES Constructors LLC is seeking a Lead Estimator to join our growing civil construction team. The role involves producing self-perform heavy civil cost estimates, performing quantity takeoffs, and managing subcontractor bids. The position is remote, with EST/CST availability and potential travel.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in heavy civil estimating, reading complex contract documents, and collaborating with field and office teams to meet submission deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering.
• Minimum 10 years estimating experience in heavy civil construction.
• Experience with self-perform civil infrastructure projects preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Produce self-perform heavy civil cost estimates based on project size and mix.
• Create accurate quantity takeoffs and cost lists.
• Source and analyze subcontractor quotes for best-value bids.
• Identify risks and plan mitigation for operations.
• Prepare inquiries to clients regarding drawings and scopes.
