Job summary

SES Constructors LLC is seeking a Lead Estimator to join our growing civil construction team. This remote role requires EST or CST availability and occasional travel.

You will prepare detailed self-perform heavy civil estimates based on plans, specs, and scopes of work. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering, field experience in self-perform civil works, and proficiency with Bid2Win/HCS S Heavy Bid.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering is required.
• Field experience in self-perform contracting of civil infra scopes (earthwork, utilities, dam/levee, pavement).
• Experience estimating federal projects is preferred.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing, CPM scheduling, and estimating software such as Bid2Win (B2W), HCSS Heavy Bid.
• Must be able to obtain necessary clearances for applicable contracts.

Responsibilities

• Produce self-perform heavy civil cost estimates including crew assemblies and production rates based on project size, scope, and mix.
• Provide detailed quantity takeoffs and cost assessments.
• Source and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes for best value.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with project team in estimate preparation.
• Meet interim milestones for constructability and productivity reviews.
• Support constructability reviews and vet subcontractor pricing.
• Interact with Operations post-award to address alternates, site conditions, and bid-day assessments.
