Job summary

SES Constructors LLC is expanding its Civil Construction team and seeks a Lead Estimator to prepare detailed, self-perform heavy civil estimates based on plans, specs, and scopes. The role involves challenging cost estimation, takeoffs, and coordination across field and office teams.

The position is remote in the United States, with EST or CST availability and potential travel. A bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering is required, with federal project experience

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree, preferably in construction management or civil engineering, is required.
• Experience with self-perform civil infrastructure estimates.
• Experience estimating federal projects is preferred.
• Ability to read contracts, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and schedules.
• Familiarity with Bid2Win or HCSS software is expected.
• Ability to obtain necessary clearances for relevant projects.

Responsibilities

• Produce self-perform heavy civil cost estimates including crew assemblies and production rates.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs and cost breakdowns for materials.
• Source and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes for best value.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with project team to prepare each estimate.
• Meet milestones for constructability and productivity reviews.
• Support constructability reviews with designers and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with Operations after award for site conditions and alternates.
