Job summary

SES Constructors LLC is seeking a Lead Estimator to join our growing civil construction team. This remote role requires you to be based in EST or CST and capable of delivering detailed estimates from plans, specs, and scopes of work for self-perform heavy civil projects.

As a lead, you will produce cost estimates, prepare quantity takeoffs, evaluate subcontractor quotes, identify risks, and collaborate with field and office professionals to meet submission deadlines. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering required.
• Experience reading and interpreting contract documents, drawings, schedules and specs.
• Ability to read CPM schedules and use estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Produce self-perform heavy civil cost estimates based on project size and scope.
• Provide accurate quantity takeoff information for materials and cost assessment.
• Identify, source and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes for best value.
• Identify, quantify, and evaluate risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with field and office professionals on each estimate.
• Meet interim estimate milestones for reviews and recalibration to meet deadlines.
• Support constructability reviews and vet subcontractor pricing.
• Coordinate with Operations after award and address site conditions.
