Job summary

ABB is seeking an Application Engineering Manager for Electrification Services (ELSE) in the United States. This remote role leads the US AE organization in support of Commercial Operations and Sales, delivering high-quality proposals and customer solutions while growing a high-performing team.

Travel up to 25% within the US is expected. The role collaborates with Proposal Management, Business Development, Operations, and other ABB engineering teams to standardize solutions and shorten proposal

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required and 12+ years relevant work experience.
Willing to travel 25% of the time within US.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in application engineering or field engineering in power delivery products and systems including experience with customers in relevant industry segments.
Experience leading geographically dispersed technical teams strongly preferred.
Experience with proposal development, statement of work creation, job costing, and commercial operations processes.
Background in field service, power systems engineering, or industrial electrical services.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a high-performing Application Engineering team.
Provide technical leadership and customer solution support across the ELSE portfolio.
Drive proposal excellence and operational effectiveness by ensuring high-quality SOWs and JCEs, and improving ITO processes.
Standardize and continuously improve engineering processes and capabilities through KPI management, libraries, digital tools, and training programs.
