Job summary

ABB is seeking an Application Engineering Manager for Electrification Services (ELSE) in the United States. The role leads the US AE organization to support Commercial Operations and Sales, delivering high-quality SOWs and JCEs while driving continuous improvement across people, processes, and technology.

This is a remote position with travel around 25% within the US. You will develop a high-performing team, provide technical leadership across the ELSE portfolio, and partner with Commercial

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required (Electrical Engineering preferred)
• Ability and willingness to travel 25% of the time within US
• Extensive experience in application or field engineering in power delivery products and systems
• Experience leading geographically dispersed technical teams
• Experience with proposal development, SOW creation, job costing, and commercial operations processes
• Background in field service, power systems engineering, or industrial electrical services
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Application Engineering team across the ELSE portfolio.
• Provide technical leadership and customer solution support through strategic engagements and site assessments.
• Drive proposal excellence and operational effectiveness with high-quality SOWs and JCEs, improving inquiry-to-order processes.
• Standardize and continuously improve engineering processes, KPI management, libraries, and training programs.
